It has been a somewhat strange year when it comes to Google mobiles. After the success of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, Google chose to bet on a single model called Pixel 4a, and shortly after presenting the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, mobiles that Google Spain officially confirmed to us that they would not reach our country.
Apparently, this strange product strategy could still have room for further speculation, and it is that a model whose name appears to be Pixel 5s has just been leaked.
A Google Pixel… 5s?
In recent days we have seen multiple leaks about the Pixel 5, a mobile that at first should not reach Spain. It seems that this model would not be the only one that is under development by Google for the fifth generation, and it is that a few hours ago a new model has appeared.
As the Twitter user @japonton shows, there is a Google Pixel 5 prototype with Android R, very similar to the renders we already knew and which has the name of Google Pixel 5S, with a design similar to that of the Google Pixel 4a with a front all screen, with a hole in the corner for the camera, a rear fingerprint reader and a rectangular module for the camera with 2 or 3 sensors.

As we have mentioned on several occasions, that a product appears leaked, even with real images, is not a sign that it will end up being real. But 2020 is being a very rare year, so suppose it is.
When Google announced that the Google Pixel 4a 5G and 5 would not arrive in Spain, many of us considered that the reason could be because Google would have chosen to bring these phones only to markets where the new generation of connectivity was more developed.

The fact that Google pre-announced these models does not mean that they are the only Google models that end up hitting the market. In this sense, the Pixel 5s could be a variant of the Pixel 5 prepared for markets that are not yet ready for 5G, betting on previous generation high-end chips such as the Snapdragon 855+.
Or it could also be a discarded prototype, that does not end up appearing and all this speculation ends on wet paper. The leaks are like that.
