Harmony OS begins to reach the first Huawei phones and tablets 1

Huawei has gone in a few months from reigning in Spain to having to change its entire strategy completely due to the impossibility of using Google’s mobile services. The first measure they took was to continue using Android with their own mobile services, but we knew that they would go further with their own operating system called Harmony OS, which unlike the current one is not based on Android, but is a system designed from zero.

Since the company lost the possibility of using its own services, there has been a lot of talk about Harmony OS, but to date it was a system with as much mystery as Google’s Fuchsia OS. However, it seems that the deployment of Huawei’s system is beginning to be real, as the first beta version is available for mobile phones.

Harmony OS begins to reach Huawei phones in its first beta

As the company reported at its last developer event, its first version of Harmony OS for mobile devices is now a reality. As usual, it is a deployment that will not be available overnight to everyone, but will be staggered over the next few months.

The first users to receive this versionwill be the developers, which from today can install the beta version of Harmony OS, as well as the application development kit. As the system is more polished it will be available to users who want to try the beta before anyone else and once it is completely stable it will reach the whole world.

As we can see in the video of a first contact, aesthetically there do not seem to be any appreciable differences between the design of the phones with Harmony OS and the EMUI customization layer in Huawei phones. We also did not have to wait for a radical change in design, since thanks to the flexibility offered by Android Huawei has been able to create its user interface exactly as they would like. Even if they have ideas to improve it, the optimal thing is to make the transition for users as flexible as possible.
