Amazon’s potential when it comes to penetrate our homes we will not find out now. Beyond the gigantic online store, another of the powerful branches of the company is its system of connected devices ready to interact with each other and help us on a daily basis thanks to voice control with Alexa.
Speakers like latest Echo Dot, dongles like family Fire TV Stick to make our TV a Smart TV, mobile apps and of course, tablets. Jeff Bezos’ company has a series of tablets that now see their functions enhanced with the new update that adds better management of the connected home and all without having to change applications.
Always in sight
Having a large screen allows you not to depend only and exclusively on voice control, an advantage of tablets compared to speakers that Amazon now wants to take advantage of. To do this, it will launch an update so that users will have easier home management connected.
It is a small icon in the shape of a house with adjustment bars inside, we will see in the lower left area of the screen, occupying the end of the navigation bar. This shortcut saves us a few steps and avoid browsing through different menus to find the corresponding setting.
This shortcut will be always visible from any screen, including the lock screen, and will allow access to all the electrical appliances and devices that we have synchronized under the same roof and with the same Wi-Fi network.
Of this improvement compatible Fire tablets may benefit, more exactly four models:
- Amazon Fire 7 of 2019
- Amazon Fire HD 8 of 2018
- Amazon Fire HD 8 from 2020
- Amazon Fire HD 10 of 2019
