Disney + is Disney’s streaming service, where we have access to a large amount of content from the firm, including the Marvel sagas (The Avengers) and Star Wars. This platform has been available in Spain for a little over six months, being possible to use it on various devices in order to access said content.
The application has managed to win over a large number of users around the world. In addition, little by little it is reaching more devices and new functions are introduced. The last function to become official at Disney + is group sessions, which will allow you to watch content with your friends. It has already reached the platform in the United States.

Disney + will let you watch movies in a group
Disney Plus GroupWatch is the official name of this function, thanks to which it is possible that up to seven people go to see content on the streaming platform. This is something that will work with both series and movies available on Disney +. It is a function that is also launched in all versions of the streaming platform (web, Android, iOS and also for televisions).
An icon has been created for this function, which is displayed in the profile of a movie or series, before starting playback. By clicking on that button, you are given the possibility to invite six people, to have a group session and watch that movie or series together. It will be allowed to send a link to these people (by mail or messaging apps) so that they will join said group session.
In this role on Disney +, you are allowed to each user in the group will be able to control playback. Not only the person who created this session will be able to start or stop the playback, but everyone has that possibility. At the moment there is no chat in this function, there is only the possibility of reacting with emojis, although it is expected that in the near future a chat will be introduced in which to comment on that movie or series that is being watched.
At the moment, these group viewing sessions are available only in the United States. Although it is expected that they will also reach European Disney + users throughout this fall. No dates have been given for the launch of the feature in Spain, but it shouldn’t take too long.
