Xiaomi has become in a matter of a decade one of the largest Android manufacturers, both in Spain and in the rest of the world. Xiaomi’s ambitions go far beyond offering only cheap phones, and they really intend to become the best mobile manufacturer in the world, and for this they intend to be the manufacturer to update Android 11 faster.
Products like the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are excellent pieces of hardware, but when it comes to software they still had a lot to prove. MIUI is a layer of customization with a lot of work, and this left us doubts about how long it would take Xiaomi to update to the latest versions.
Spoiler: Very little.
Android 11 comes to the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro
Hours after starting the update on the Google Pixel, Xiaomi has announced the official deployment of Android 11 for its flagship phones this year, which will begin to update globally from today.
Among the many advantages of Android 11, Xiaomi highlights the following new features as the most important:
- Conversations: Android 11 allows users to manage their conversations from multiple messaging apps at once in the notifications section. New functions allow you to reply to messages directly in the section. The update also allows you to organize conversations according to their priority. Priority conversations will appear on the lock screen and you can bypass the Do Not Disturb setting.
- Bubbles:Android 11 bubbles float above other apps and will be accessible to users in different situations. Bubbles can be expanded to show the full functionality of an application and hidden when not in use. It is a powerful tool that allows users to better multitask and not miss important messages.
- Device control:The phone has become a digital wallet and key, offering a panel that allows users to control their smart devices without the need to open additional applications. With faster and easier access, users can enjoy a more elegant way to control their multimedia experience, as well as wireless control of Android Auto.
