Video games offered on Netflix Gaming, the streaming platform’s newest service, are now available on iPhone and iPad. However, there is a little subtlety to access it. Here is how to do it.
While Xbox Game Pass has always prided itself on being the Netflix of video games, the streaming platform felt it was time to venture into this market. In July, the announcement is made: Netflix will offer games accessible to subscribers, all at no extra cost. And a few months later, the Netflix Gaming service finally opened its doors.
For now, the offer consists of a few mobile games inspired by flagship Netflix series, such as Stranger Things for example. At launch, these 5 titles were only available on Android. A question then arose? What about iOS? Finally, Netflix confirmed the good news. Netflix Gaming games will be available on iOS, with one detail: it will be necessary to pass for the App Store and not via the app to benefit from it.
Indeed, there is not yet a video games section in the iOS version of the application, unlike the Android version. Hope this is fixed via an update. In the meantime, it will therefore be necessary to find the games one by one on the Apple application store.
How to Enjoy Netflix Gaming Games on iPhone or iPad
You will understand, it is therefore imperative to know the list of available titles, since you will have to do a search on the App Store to download them. Here is the full list:
- Stranger Things: 1984
- Stranger Things 3: The Game
- Shooting Hoops
- Teeter (up)
- Card blast
- Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story (coming soon)
Now that you know the list, just search for one of its titles on the App Store. Little tip, we then advise you to click the name of the developer, in this case Netflix Inc. You will find there all the applications relating to this studio, and therefore by extension all the Netflix Gaming games. As on Android, you will need to be a Netflix subscriber to enjoy these games:
- Once you’ve installed and launched a game for the first time, you will be asked to link an active Netflix account
- If you are not a Netflix subscriber, a Sign Up tab will allow you to subscribe to the platform via Apple’s payment system
