Since a few weeks we know that Google is working to bring us the Chrome widget for iOS to Android. Now a month later we find out that there are three new widgets that are coming to Chrome, and that now we can test through Chrome Canary.
With Chrome Canary 93 the new widget was not functional – it did not display correctly – but with its update to the version 94 We now see three new widgets practically finished, which could reach everyone with the stable version of Chrome 94 that will arrive in a couple of months. Recently Google browser updated to version 92.

How to activate the new widgets in Chrome Canary
If you want to try the three new Chrome widgets on the home screen of your Android device, the first thing you have to do is install the unstable version of Chrome Canary via the Play Store.
Once installed Chrome Canary we just have to go to Chrome Flags activate to activate two new experimental functions, which will activate the three new widgets. For this we have to write in the address bar Chrome: // flags and activate # enable-quick-action-search-widget-android (will activate two widgets) and # enable-quick-action-search-widget-android-dino-variant (will activate another widget). After restarting the browser we will see that as at add home screen widgets Three new widgets appear in Chrome Canary.
The ‘Quick Action Search Widget’ flag activates the two ‘Chrome Search and Quick Actions’ widgets, a version with a size of 5×1 and a larger one with a size of 5×2. This widget offers us a search bar with shortcuts to incognito mode, voice search, Google Lens search (not functional) and in the large widget an access to the dinosaur game.
The ‘Quick Action Search Widget – Dino Variant’ flag activates the widget ‘Chromium dino’, a direct access to his popular game so that we can play even if we have a data connection.
