The video calling app Google Meet has begun to activate a feature that we carried waiting since the end of last year: blur and change video call background.
Google is gradually activating this feature, which may take a couple of weeks to reach everyone. We just have to keep updated Google Meet and wait for the background change.
Change background
This feature comes to the web version and Android just the same day that Apple has announced portrait mode in FaceTime. Google had already announced this feature on Meet at the end of last year but we had to wait until today for it to start reaching users.
If now we don’t want meeting attendees to see our house, we just have to click on the new icon Change background that now Google Meet will show in the thumbnail of our video call.
{“videoId”: “x7znh1w”, “autoplay”: true, “title”: “Which VIDEO CALL application spends LESS DATA_”}
This option allows us to choose two types of blur, each with a different intensity of blur, or change background through their 25 backgrounds including office spaces, landscapes and abstract backgrounds. This way you will gain privacy by hiding your home.
