In March of this year we officially knew the New Nest Hub from Google, a new generation of Google’s smart display and speaker. One of the most relevant points of this new proposal is that it comes with a series of radars and sensors to detect both gestures and sleep itself, thanks to technology Soli from Google.

The second-generation Nest Hub It will be sold officially in Spain at a price of 99.99 euros, no launch promotions. It will be available from May 5 and can be purchased at the Google Store, Orange, MediaMarkt, El Corte Inglés, Fnac and Carrefour.
In addition to being sold in Spain, Google announces the arrival of its new device in different European markets such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, closing the circle and complementing its presence in markets for weeks. like the American or the French.
Sleep measurement using Soli
The new Nest Hub comes with built-in Soli radar. This allows to analyze how the person sleeps based on their movement and breathing, not being necessary a camera or having any type of wearable. Likewise, Motion Sense promises to be able to analyze specific elements such as disturbances in the floor, coughs, snoring, and even changes in light and temperature in the room (for these last two points there are dedicated sensors).
At the hardware level it also has a 7-inch panel with 1,024 x 600 resolution, and we must not forget that this device has a built-in Chromecast and WiFi connection, so we can send our content to be played on the Hub. Regarding the speaker, it has a 1.7-inch driver. With this device we can listen to platforms such as Tidal or Spotify, so the audio quality is relevant.

The second-generation Nest Hub works with a 15W adapter connected to its power port. Its processor is quad-core at a maximum frequency of 1.9 GHz. At the privacy level, the Nest Hub has an on-screen indicator that shows when the sleep function is activated, in case we want to block it and that it does not measure movement, breathing and others.
