Although the park of smart watches with WearOS is somewhat abandoned by quite a few manufacturers, including Google, Mobvoi is one of the brands that continues to rely on it for its next releases. Not too long ago we witnessed the arrival of the TicWatch Pro 2020 and now we have half a step forward here, in the direction of the sports world: the TicWatch Pro S is already among us.
The new TicWatch Pro S soften its lines to become something more sporty, while slightly updating its internal components to get half a step ahead of last year’s TicWatch Pro 2020, waiting for a more revolutionary next generation.
More space and software improvements for a more sporty TicWatch Pro
In the new TicWatch Pro S, the memory is doubled now offering 8GB of internal space to download apps compatible with the watch, or simply to load music files onto it and be able to use it as a player, by pairing it with a wireless headset. The watch is waterproof to IP68, so we can literally take it diving with us, withstanding dives up to 50 meters deep.
The watch lands offering some features that we had already seen in the TicWatch Pro 2020 and updating others. For example, your screen 1.39-inch diagonal AMOLED, round and with 400 x 400 pixels of resolution, also having a second FSTN screen to save battery.
The processor is still Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 supported on 1GB of RAM and the aforementioned 8GB of internal space, and offers WiFi 4, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS connectivity, in addition to offering Google Pay through its NFC chip. The battery is 415 mAh and is charged with a specific dock through a USB cable.

The dimensions of the box are 45 millimeters in diameter by 12.6 millimeters thick, and it has different software improvements introduced by its manufacturer such as TicExercise 3.0, TicSleep 2.0, TicBreath and TicHearing. Of the last two, the first analyzes the heart rate and the level of stress and offers us respiratory control exercises, and the second allows us to analyze environmental noise and alert us if it could be harmful to our ears.
Versions and prices of the TicWatch Pro S
The new TicWatch Pro S is initially on sale in two colors, gray and black, and its starting price is priced at 259.99 euros for the European continent. The watch will be on sale from today, March 9, 2021.
