Apple TV + can now be used on Chromecasts with Google TV 1

The streaming platform war that flared up around the world last year, including Spain, will not stop in 2021. The new launches of platforms such as HBO Max are joined by proposals that until recently were only available on iOS and Mac computers .

At the end of 2020 Google announced that Apple TV +, Apple’s video streaming service, would be available on its new Chromecast with Google TV. Today that advance has become a reality.

Apple TV + comes to Chromecast with Google TV

According to Google itself, users of their Chromecast with Google TV have the new Apple TV + application available on the interface. In order to use it we have to go to the applications tab.

In addition, as with the rest of the streaming apps, we can open a series directly with our voice using the Google assistant and we will see some titles appear in the main interface, within the recommendations section.

The content will be compatible with 4K resolution and HDR technology.

Soon on more devices

In addition to Chromecast with Google TV, the Apple TV + app will be available on Sony and TCL televisions using Google TV. In the coming months we will be able to use it on other devices with Android TV.

We have already been able to install it on the Chromecast with Google TV so we will not have to wait to have it available. You can do the same from the Google Play Store link.
