Among the many analyzes we conducted last year, two models caught our attention for different reasons. The ASUS ROG Phone 3 was the most powerful mobile we tested (and still is today) and the ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro the one that offered the best front camera, due to its mechanical system.
Asus is not one of the largest manufacturers in the world in the smartphone sector, but it does not give up and is progressing little by little to achieve it. In addition to the two strategies we saw in 2020, prepare a new one for 2021.
ASUS wants to have an alternative to the iPhone 12 Mini
Like Sony is doing, it seems that ASUS is going to bet on a very specific niche, that of users who want a high-end mobile but with a very tight size.
According to Digitimes, the company would be finalizing the launch of a Asus Zenfone Mini, a model that would maintain many of the benefits of future Zenfone 8, but that would have much tighter dimensions.
This move is tricky, especially now that we know that Apple is cutting production of the iPhone 12 Mini since the demand is not as high as they believed.
Asus to double down with this year’s Asus ROG Phone
Another piece of information indicates that the company maintains the line of gaming mobiles, successful within its context. Further, it seems that the starting price of these models would rise, something that could seek to obtain greater benefits from it, but could also be motivated by the increased cost of some components, such as the processor.
While we don’t know when the Mini model will hit stores, it looks like the gaming model will do so in late March or early April.
The entry ASUS will replicate the iPhone 12 Mini with the ASUS Zenfone Mini listed first in The Free Android.
