Samsung DeX is one of the tools most valued by users of the brand in Spain, which allows you to connect your PC and phone to the maximum. The brand announced that wireless DeX was going to be released in One UI 2.5, although this only worked with some compatible televisions and monitors. The launch of the Galaxy S21 has changed this.
The new Samsung Galaxy S21 already arrive with One UI 3.1 as an interface and it is now where Samsung DeX wireless is introduced for computers. On the home screen of this application you are already informed of the availability of this function and you can connect it to a computer or monitor in this way.
We tested Samsung DeX on Windows: PC and mobile, more connected than everOne of the exclusivities of the new Galaxy Note 10 is the possibility of using Samsung DeX on another PC via the USB cable. We tested it.
Samsung DeX wireless for Galaxy S21
When you open Samsung DeX you will have to update to the latest version of DeX for PC. Once this is done, you have to use the quick configuration, where you can choose the desired device to connect and then that connection will be carried out. On the PC itself you will get a message informing you that the connection has been made.
Functions remain unchanged in this wireless version that the Galaxy S21 can use already. The only change is that the resolution is limited to 1080p in this mode, at least on the PC. One problem with using this mode is that the S Pen support does not work as many would like, since the S Pen cannot be used when using apps like Samsung Notes, for example.
This wireless DeX with the PC is currently available only for Samsung Galaxy S21. There are devices like the Galaxy Tab S7 + that already have One UI 3.1 in some markets, but they do not have the possibility to connect to the PC without cables with this function. It is expected that soon more phones in the Samsung catalog will be able to use this function, but it is not known what the firm’s plans are.
The entry The Galaxy S21 can now use Samsung DeX with the PC wirelessly appears first in The Free Android.
